Options

Life sometimes feels like a vast forest full of possibilities—other times, it feels like we’re standing in front of a sign that says, “No Options Allowed.”

At 18, when we leave our parents’ home, the world stretches endlessly before us, filled with opportunities waiting to be explored. The trees are countless, the paths infinite.

Moving to a new place brings the thrill of fresh beginnings. We imagine new friendships, new experiences, and new doors opening before us.

Graduating from college is both exciting and overwhelming. We stand at a crossroads, wondering which direction will lead to success, fulfillment, or even happiness.

But then, life throws up signs.

A job that pays the bills but drains us.

A marriage that once felt sweet but now feels like a cage.

A friendship we thought would last forever but has since betrayed or drifted away.

We work hard to make and save money—not just for comfort, but because we believe money buys us options. The ability to walk away, to change direction, to rewrite our path.

And yet, one truth remains: no matter how many choices we make, life eventually leads to the one option we cannot escape.

It has an end.

But until then, the forest is still there, full of possibilities. The choice, as always, is ours.
